Warner Robins- Marian Irene “Nicky” Rampy, 67, passed away after a long battle with her illness on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 am in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior and immediately following the services.
Nicky was born on December 10, 1949 in Ipswich England to the late Ron Belmont and Doreen Jennings Scott of Davenport, FL. At a young Age, she and her parents moved to Peoria, Illinois. In 1967, Nicky graduated from Richwood High School in Peoria. In 1975, she met the love of her life, Charles. The couple married in 1967 and moved to Washington, Illinois where they started their family with twin girls, Stacy and Tracy. By 1982 they had moved back to Peoria, Illinois where they welcomed their third child, Kerry. It was through Nicky’s effort, encouragement and support that all three of their daughters enjoyed learning and would eventually all graduate from college with degrees. Nicky was a very giving, loving person, who would go above and beyond to help others. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, cooking and loved animals, especially her dog Heidi. Nicky was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. If Nicky could speak today, she would remind us that family is the most important, to stay close to each and everyone and always let them know how much you love them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 41 years, Charles “Chuck” Rampy of Warner Robins; daughters: Tracy Jones (Terry) of Warner Robins, Stacy and Kerry Rampy of Davenport, FL; granddaughter: Kayleigh Jones of Warner Robins; brother: Tom Scott (Rio) of Davenport, FL; nephews: Austin and Bret.
