William Paul  May
Warner Robins- MSGT. William Paul May, USAF (Ret.), 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Regency Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 am in Burpee-Scott Chapel with interment following with full military honors in Andersonville National Cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 pm in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Bill was born on July 26, 1936 in Gibson, GA to the late Fred and Viola Scarborough May. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and retired after 25 years of service with the rank of Master Sergeant. He enjoyed watching his westerns, reading a good book, working on cars and telling stories of the good ole days. He will be forever missed for his heart and compassion for others. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Allissa May, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Eileen Whiting May of Warner Robins; 5 children: William Paul May, Jr. (Shari), Jeffrey May (Eva) all of Tifton, GA, Richard May (Joanna) of Clovis, New Mexico, Teresa May and Kevin May (Lisa) all of Warner Robins, GA; 5 grandsons: Luke Aries, Brandon May, Dennis May, Mitchell May and Nicholas May; 2 granddaughters: Tina Carter and Ashley May.
