Warner Robins- Imogene Ruth Gettings Snook, 77, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Christ Chapel of Warner Robins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services and immediately following. Interment will follow on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 am in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, Illinois. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers; please make donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Imogene was born on July 16, 1940 in Essex, Missouri to the late Matthew Daniel and Ellen Polen Gettings. She retired from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked civil service as a scheduler on the C-130 flight line. Imogene attended Christ Chapel of Warner Robins. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and absolutely adored her family. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her two sons: Christopher and Chucky Snook.
Left to cherish her memory, children: Vicky Snook of Warner Robins and Jim Snook (Patti) of Groton, CT; 5 grandchildren: Shelly Aucoin, Ashley Snook, Matthew Snook, Tiffany Gok and Luke Snook; 2 great-grandchildren: Gavin Snook and Sean Gok, Jr.
