Warner Robins-Barbara Ellen Dobbs Bennett, 76, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Kennesaw, GA. Services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 am in Burpee-Scott Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Mrs. Bennett will be laid to rest with her husband at Georgia National Cemetery, Kennesaw, GA.
Barbara was born in Powder Springs, GA on May 29, 1941 to the late Lawrence and Ruby Lowery Dobbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett George Bennett and brother, Jack Dobbs. Barbara worked and retired from Robins Air Force Base as the restaurant and food service manager. She had such a caring and giving heart, especially when it came to family and animals. She was always volunteering with different animal shelters and was a member of K-9 Angels. She has adopted and fostered many different animals through the years. Barbara loved her family dearly and did all she could to care and provide for them.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved children: Sandra Lorraine Roberts, Acworth, Paul Steven Cantrell, Bonaire and Christopher George Bennett, Hawkinsville; her grandchildren and sister: Betty Sue Duncan, Kathleen.
