Macon- Kenneth Neil Doles, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Macon, GA. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Burpee-Scott Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services and immediately following. Ken will be laid to rest next to his parents and brother in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fort Valley, GA. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers; please make donations to Church In The Park, 104 Derby Downs, Perry, GA 31069.
Ken was born on November 21, 1958 in Fort Valley to the late Johnie Frank and Doris Bennett Doles. He graduated from the Beechwood School after which he enlisted in the Army Reserves as a paratrooper. He faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged. Ken continued his service as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base for several years. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Victor Doles.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister: Leigh Doles Montgomery (Russ), Kathleen; nephews: Daniel & Tyler Montgomery and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
